I'll try not to be too confusing I read that they can be, but only if the disk is in the drive the disk doesn't spin or get read, just has to be in so people can't rent and borrow etc.. games and then return them but still have them for free on the hard drive. People were saying it defeats the purpose the upload a game you have if you still need the disk in the drive. Other people say it's to load faster and xbox does less work. So anyway my ? is this can it really done and does the disk have to be the exact same disk you upload from, or can it be the same game? My son had Madden 11 and 12 that the middle cracked from the new cases, so can he borrow a friends to upload and then put his broken disk in the drive.

I am kind of new to gaming but I really like it. My favorite game I've played is Left 4 Dead 2. I really like Alice, Bioshock, Wet and Red Dead Redemption. I also like little arcade games like Plants vs Zombies. I like games that are good at setting a mood and ideally have a good storyline and if it has a cool girl character to play as that's a bonus.

Xbox 360 Slim won't play my original xbox games?
I purchased an xbox 360 slim 4gb with the Dell laptop deal last year. I also recently purchased a 250 GB HD off of amazon. When I check my memory " Microsoft" appears next to the HD in my " Storage" menu. The problem is that when I try to play my copy of Halo or Halo 2, it gives me the error message saying the disc is unplayable. My xbox is fully updated to my knowledge as I am hooked up to XBL, and my copy of the games work as Ive tested them on other 360's . Am I missing some piece of information or what? Please Help.I just checked the amazon page and I misspoke. It is a 320 GB HD, NOT a 250 GB HD. And I checked the amazon page and it says that its a microsoft product. The reviews agree that it is not a third party production.
Are there any xbox game demos/trials actually worth getting?
Most xbox games on the marketplace offer a free demo or trial if it's an arcade game. I'm just wondering if any of them are actually worth downloading? Or if there are any gems in the demos?Thanks for the input
