What does the 1 flashing light mean on my xbox elite?
I had a 3 red ring and i ended up fixing it by replacing the heat sink compound and doing the penny trick, it worked once but now i have a 1 red ring. I lost most of the screws from the xbox so it might be that. I heard it has to do with the disk drive or the hard drive but im not sure. How can i fix this problem? Its 4 years old so i dont have warranty
My xbox elite wont show anything but an update screen?
I recently got a 360 elite in great condition with many burned games. The system powers on correctly, no RRoD or anything, but it doesnt do the xbox startup screen or anything. It starts up directly shows up with a white screen saying ''System update stopped.'' " Cant read the update from the disc. Please reinsert the disc to continue the update.'' ''If the problem persists, visit xbox.com support.'' ''Status Code 3151 351F B800 0F00 C000 0013.'' This is an xbox live update, according to xbox.com. But the weird thing is Im not even trying to get on xbox live, I never knew how to in the 1st place and also never felt like paying 4 it . This screens the 1st thing to pop up. Its not the burned games b c a system update bar pops up if you open close the tray, regardless of whats in there even if its empty . The 1st time I tried the xbox after getting it, it got halfway and quit and returned to the white screen. But now it barely goes up at all b4 going back to the 'update failed' screen. Im pissed b c microsoft has always screwed me over with their sucky consoles, so its no surprise to me that this is happening, but why is it happening? Ive tried reinserting the hard drive, making the tray open halfway and closing it when the system comes on, trying all games this doesnt matter since it happens even w no games and many other weird remedies, but nothing seems to work. And I cant even find any solutions to my problem online, as if this problem doesnt happen often. My methods were intended to be used for other errors.

I got a new xbox xbox 360 elite to replace my other one that had the red ring of death, and I figured out it doesn't take original xbox games. Every time I tried, it showed a screen that says I need an xbox 360 hardrive on it, or something like that, an I can't figure out how to get another hadrive on it. i also need another one considering the fact that this can ony hold 4g of memory.

i have switched normal xbox 360 drive with another normal xbox 360 and it WORKED but i havent tried it on an xbox elite. i would like to know before i buy an elite off craigslist. note that the elite has a broken cd tray and its going for $20.
XBOX ELITE PROBLEMS!!! HELP?
So my boyfriend bought xbox elite premium for 35 yesterday and he should of received the map packs which come free with it but when he clicks on download elite content on the multiplayer screen the box just closes and nothing happens, he has tried everything from resetting the xbox and going on elite itself, and it is still not working and not letting him download the maps, he checked his active downloads and nothing is there.Any help ?The money has gone out of his bank and he gets everything else for elite premium just not the maps.
